Created for the College of Menominee Nation's Sustainable Development Institute, "RECESSIVE" tells the story of a poisonous plant that makes it's return to the Menominee Forest ecosystem and how the community responds to it's sudden reappearance. Written by Justin "Jud" Gauthier and illustrated by Nicholas Schwitzer for the "Collaborating Our Model In Contemporary Sequential-arts (C.O.M.I.C.S)." Project and "COMICS II: The Adventure of Ink" Project.

Both projects were funded by the American Indian College Fund.
